I am so proud to be part of this design team, every time the magazine arrives in my mail I just scream... I let out a particularly BIG scream of joy when I saw this issue, and my article...

 

  

Celine has also set up a NING community for entreARTistes Magazine it is a great community full of inspiration. Each Wednesday a DT member will be there to share projects, ideas and answer any questions... so go check it out, and no, you don't need to speak French :)

Magazine Loving & Inspiration...

Hey there lovelies... thought I'd share a few finds I have come across of late:

LMNOP - laugh, Make, nurture, organise, play - VERY kewl motto, no? You can subscribe to this online magazine... you'll find lots of inspiration.

Hop SKip Jump... this blog has the latest cute stuff for kidlets... this makes me so frustrated {makes me want to know the gender of our baby... but of course I don't really want to know, which makes me frustrated with myself ... that my want to know relates to shopping for gender specific items!! What the ??? LOL} If you buy one of the dolls here, proceeds go to the bush fire appeal. Who says a boy wouldnt like one of these dolls? Not me!

Bloesem Kids blog... refer to previous rant about frustration/baby gender/shopping for unborn babes!! Sheez, there is some seriously gorgeous stuff on this site I must say!

Minor Details... another blog I got from LMNOP referal... some kewl stuff on this site too!

GastroKid... some great food inspiration for the little ones in your life!

SouleMama... you know Amanda Blake, right? So much creative genius for the little {and big} ones...

Oh Joy... An all time favourite of mine. I don't know how she does it... her posts are always so inspiring, interesting, fresh and new. SUCH JOY!!

Classes have begun...

I have 11 students in my Scrapbooking Class on a Tuesday nights and 8 students in my Mixed Media class on Thursdays. Good stuff indeed!

Today I will be busy organising more supplies and kits for the extra students... I always like buying scrapbooking products *smile*

Anyways... better get to it, a busy day ahead... doctors appointment, class organisation, gal pal dropping in for a cuppa and Mikaela's swimming lesson, oh and dinner (I hear the stock pot calling my name)...

Grade 3 make "Memory Gifts"...

Yesterday I had the great joy to teach Mikaela's class for a couple of hours... each of them created a "Blank Scrapbook Layout" for this wonderful cause:

I used the sketch provided by Petrina McDonald here to create a kit for each child {using a Basic Grey Infuse Collection Pack and other bits and pieces from my stash}, so all they needed to do was to put the page together... this is what they came up with:

I want to thank Sares for the inspiration behind this project... I had already discussed with Mikaela's teacher doing something with the class for the BushFire Appeal... we just weren't quite sure what?... then I found Sare's project, I am so glad I did...

The children loved creating these pages... using shipping tags they also wrote individual notes to which we attached their photographs, they were very sweet messages let me tell you... I may post Mikaela's later if she gives permission.

I hope the child who receives this album enjoys it as much as the children who made it for them.

I am going to be creating two more albums over the next few weeks... I may even rope my CIT students into it tonight *smile*

Deadline is 15th March... so you have plenty of time... even one layout will be MUCH appreciated, I am sure.

Plus I have some prints and originals on sale here... and there are LOTS of gorgeous items to buy where the proceeds go to the Red Cross.

I do, I do, forever I do...

A year ago today I said "I do" and I will say it again a thousand times a day...

 

A couple of tributes to you, Nathan my love:

You make my heart smile every day Nath.

I cant believe it has only been one year since I became your "Mrs"... and yet it feels like we've always been together.

I love you Nathan.

Big Splash...

Was a big hit... Mikaela had a ball with her friends... they all ran about like mad all day... going on the slides about 100 times... playing on the giant inflatable jumping "thingy"... eating junk food and icecream cake... and a whole lot of delighted squealing {even by the boys} was to be heard all day long...

 

 

Thankfully the weather was good, not too hot and the sun came out... all in all a successful party and one I hope my girl remembers for a long time to come.

When we got home we got straight into creating "thank you" cards, which are now in Mikaela's school bag all ready to deliver on Monday morning...

 

   
Next year... we may venture into the world of "sleep-overs" ... which I may regret LOL!

Baby Bump Album...

Here is a little project I have been working on:

This is the same concept as the album I did for my "Joshua Pregnancy". It made it easy to prepare this most recent album entirely at my recent scrapping retreat... so now all I need to do is add the photos and other bits and pieces every few weeks.

Materials used: Chipboard album 4.5 x 9.5 inches by Delish Designs; Patterned papers: Teresa Collins Damask range, Cherry Arte - His and Her basics - Her Beauty and His Life, Making Memories - 5th Avenue {Elizabeth} and Circle Scalloped edge punch by Stampin' Up. While I am at it... here is a piccie of BB3 {Blossoming Babe #3}… at 21 weeks, C.U.T.E !!

We're off to the pool today... to Big Splash waterslides to celebrate Mikaela's birthday with a few of her friends... it's sure to be fun, I'll share the highlights tomorrow.

ALSO... Today my StepBrother Wade is getting married to gorgeous Bec... Congratulations lovelies, you know I am most disappointed that I can't be there... I hope you have a wonderful and perfect day.

Noah's Ark...

What fun we had a play group yesterday... Noah's Ark Petting Zoo came along to entertain the kids, and that they did !! Joshua had SO MUCH FUN...

 

 
 
Joshua was right into the animals and was totally comfortable and intrigued by them all. He was particularly interested in the PIG... got up very close to make a face at the goat and at one stage sandwiched himself between two sheep to give them both a cuddle at once. Funny Boy!

My friend Manon and her daughter Lucy joined us and came over for lunch yesterday... I am not sure if Joshua enjoyed the petting zoo, or having Lucy to play with more? Either way... he had a good sleep afterwards!

BushFire appeal update: I have donated a number of prints, and originals to the OzBushFireAppeal's Etsy store. Monday I am facilitating Mikaela's class mates in creating some "blank" scrapbook pages {one each, so basically we'll make an entire album}... for the Memory Gifts Project brain child of the SUPER FABULOUS Sarah Gladman. I have been busy, busy bee preparing kits for the Grade 3-ers, I'll share much more on both these projects next week.

Did I mention...

That I went to Simply Red on Tuesday night, with my Gal Pal Dal{isay}... we had a such a wonderful time!!

Mick Hucknall has the most amazing voice ... and even moreso in person, it is just so powerful and compelling. I loved every moment! I have never seen him live before, so I am really glad to have been able to do so before they split-skeee. Dal has seen him a few times, said he has "mellowed" quite a bit... he used to be very energetic. I thought he was still fabulous, even in his mellow state :) I think Dal did too... maybe because we are all getting older LOL !

Kate Cebrano was the opening act...her rendition of Roberta Flack's {written by Ewan MacColl}  "The first time ever I saw your face" was so beautiful... of course I cried. I adore that song, always have... it pure gorgeousness!

Sigh...makes me think of my children... and the first time I saw their face.

She's Back !!!

... my bestie is BACK in Oz after 5 weeks teaching here. Yah!!

We had the absolute delight to just hang and chat together yesterday, pretty much ALL day, which is a rare occurance for us. Not one I take for granted when we get the opportunity. I love it!

As does her God Son...

They are so sweet together.

I'm just happy to have my chicka back:

She TOTALLY ROCKS ! I am super proud of you Kim, you are an inspiration and a wonderful friend, I've missed you much... but I *love* all that you are doing. Your teaching, your learning, your growing and evolving... it's a wonderful & exciting life journey you're on & you *SO* deserve it! I am blessed to be by your side. Always, as you well know!
