Affirmation Mini Canvases...

I thought I would share just a little bit of what I've been up to lately:

These mini Mixed Media canvases are around 5x7inches and were so much fun to create. Probably because the kidlets I made them for are gorgeous!!!

I plan to make more of these by order... maybe even at my market stalls... people choose the lettering and the quotes... come back in 10-15 mins - VOILA!! Instant and personalised gift of L.O.V.E !!!

I've also been busy sewing for the nursery... share coming VERY soon *grin*

On other matters... our little dude got a haircut on Tuesday:

And capturing the everyday... Here is Joshua "saying goodbye" to Daddy after he has come home for lunch, ironically waving "bye-bye" to Me. Often there are tears involved as I drag him out of the car and we walk to the top of the driveway to see Daddy off for just a few more hours until the end of the day:

Can you tell I am a little excited ??? :)

So my little Joshua and I went into town yesterday to pick this up and naturally we had ourselves a mini cafe date too. I took a few snaps and obviously still getting used to the set up:

He sure is fun to hang out with when he is not tipping his baby-chino over (okay technically that was me), or throwing his crayons on the floor (tho he did pick them up again) :)

This photo is from the weekend, Nath and I took Joshua to the Australian War Memorial Conservation and Storage Annex {Mikaela was with her Dad}. I always get a bit teary with gratitude to my Pop in particular, but all men and women who serve our nation ...

34 or 36 weeks pregnant?

We are not sure of exact dates. First scan {which we are told is the most accurate gave us a due date of 2nd July}. Our second scan gave us a date of 20th June.

So we could have 4 weeks to go... or 8 weeks if I were to go 2 weeks over. Quite a difference LOL!

I am loving feeling our baby move about so much. Yesterday at the market I was chatting with two women and we were all like "can you see THAT"... it was amazing watching our baby do HUGE rolls and tumbles.

Friday morning I gave myself a panic because I hadn't felt the baby move for a little while. I hate that feeling. I called our midwife and Nath... we went to the hospital and heard the heart beat, by then tho the babe had been doing serious flips and it was quite clear all was A-O.K. Thank God!

So, really I don't care if it's 4 or 8 weeks until we meet our bubs... I am just enjoying the last few weeks of carrying him/her and feeling him/her move about and SO looking forward to meeting this new little person.

Handmade Market...

Was a HUGE success today! There were SO MANY people, it was amazing! Here was my stall, right at the entrance {a very good spot}...

I was right beside the lovely Rochelle and her gorgeous creations {which caused quite the stir}... I think she will be SUPER busy replenishing all her stock for weeks to come. Of course I could not resist getting mineself one of her beautiful floral brooches. Last time I was at a market with her I got one of her antique scalfes. I love all her work!

Also sitting near to me was the very gorgeous Tania (I so love her!)... she was only there for a couple of hours as she had a book launch today for Riley and the Sleeping Dragon, I am sure it was a HUGE success too, she is amazing!

And because I am crazy nesting right now... I also got this little darling item from Tango & James for the nursery:

I also got a really cute bird cage wall decal. I imagine I will be finished decorating the nursery ssssoooooooon! Then I will share, promise :) 

I will be at HandMade Market again on 11 & 12th September (their next market date)... and I'll have lots of originals {had so many  requests for those today} and exciting additions to my art line. Save the date and I'll see you there!

Anyways I really should be getting to bed. Nath and I watched Family Man earlier this evening, such a beautiful movie. Sob!

Fire Truck...

Thursday mornings are "Paint & Play" for Joshua and I, we always have such a good time and I get to catch up with my gorgeous friend Martha.

Yesterday there was a visit from the Fire-ies... and Joshua was crazy for the truck... he climbed in about 4 times. He was shown all the bits and pieces. He was inthralled!

I look slightly demented in this photo... I blame Martha for making me lauf !!!

Art lovin'...

Like most youngin's, my little guy is quite the artist, just give him some paper and crayons and he is one happy dude, I love that! It is an especially good distraction tactic when we are at a cafe or restaurant:

Show and tell, I got these the other day & been daydreaming about playing with them soon...

This week I am getting ready for my stall at the handmade Market being held this weekend:

A major part of my preparation has been putting together some ReVa kits ... there is an ART Journal kit and sneak peeks of the June kit  for you to take a squiz at! 

Also getting some new art finished, here is one I have been doing as a demo in my Mixed Media class, its called Flutter your Wings...

Hopefully I'll have more art to share by the end of the week & put them up on my Etsy store soon.

If you are in Canberra, I hope I see you at HandMade... you will be blown away, I always am... we have some serious talent in this here town :)
