Days 11, 12 & 14...

Day 11, 11th January... I attempted a photo shoot with the kidlets, I managed to get a few good ones but I am not so patient and photographing Joshua (or any 2 year old) is near impossible!

Day 12, 12th January: Our last day in Palm Cove... out to dinner with our new friends > 3 families at a restaurant... crazy fun!

Day 13: Not done this one yet, it's on my to do list.

Day 14: 14th January, the morning was spent with me and Joshua in hospital as he had been quite sick with gastro. I hate seeing my babies so sick.

A big part of loving this digi scrapping is that I can use my iphone to take photos, they are not great quality images, but they are good enough to use in my layouts... and most importantly they capture moments I would otherwise have missed as I didnt have my big camera with me. So loving that!

Anyhoos this morning my babe Joshua is sick again, so no swimming lessons for him today! Mikaela is off to her Dads. Ben is crawling and giggling about. We have a thousand and one things to do today... #1 is to buy a new oven and cooktop & lots of handy man stuff!

It is MUCH bigger than I thought it would be thats for sure! It is huge!

Hopefully I'll be up-to-date soon and will be posting daily :) We had a lovely day yesterday... took the kidlets to see Fantastic Mr Fox in the morning. Mikaela had read the book a ways back and quite enjoyed it. Joshua enjoyed the pop corn. Ben enjoyed some of the movie before falling asleep in my arms. We did a bit of shopping for the new house, had some lunch. My darling Kim came over and helped me out, chatted and had some laughs. Love her so much... can't wait to check out her new car!!

Happy Friday... to the dentist we go today! Eik! Thankfully, Santa's "little helper" Sam is coming over to set up the trampoline for the kidlets.

A lovely weekend...

Mmmmm, this is the best of a very bad bunch of group shots. IMPOSSIBLE to bet a good photo of Joshua, most of them he was crying. Naturally there were MUCH better photos with Ben smiling ... but this is the most reasonable of all together:

My house is a shambles and we're off on a plane again...

Still so much unpacking to do, shelves to put up... pelmets to create and cover and mount. LOTS to do around here... Soooooo... we're off to Adelaide for five days :) Ha! I haven't even managed to totally unpack from our QLD holiday... sheez! What do I do with my days... really? 

Have I mentioned lately how active our Benjamin is? Almost impossible to get a photo of him that is not blurred, he is now cruising the furniture and his favourite position is standing. Crawling just wont do anymore. I guess one out of three was going to be an earlier starter, but he's not even 7 months and I just want him to stay my little bubba.

 

Oh well... here are days 2, 3 and 4 of my 365/twenty ten album:

2nd January - had to be a double layout... I just love this photo of Nannie and Ben! Page 2 you can see that Ben is just starting to pull himself up into a standing position. Sigh!

Noosa holds a special place in my heart, one because it is a rather spectacular {but MUCH more crowded than our favourite Palm Cove} beach side town, two because my loved ones {my Dad and bro, Wade (and Bec & Chayton) & often my sisters} are there... and three because my super fabulous friend Shaz is there... and four because we have such an awesome time hanging together as a family. Special Memories. Good times for us. Our lives are in a very sweet space right now, and completing these pages I am reminded of how very blessed I am. I am truly thankful.

I can't wait to get to Adelaide and give my SIL a HUGE BIG SQUEEZY cuddle! Love that girl!

Happy Australia Day long weekend, have yourselves a great one... hope you have a barbie (if it's not too hot where you are!).

365 days ...

THis digi thing has got me creating more layouts than ever... how to print them cost effectively will be another story entirely. In the meantime I have started my "365 days" layouts for twenty ten and here is my first one:

Journalling is:

Holidaying in Noosa with Nath’s parents. Staying at the Rise Appartments up on the hill above the ReefPub. Catching up with my Dad, sister Meeges and her girlfriend, Melinda. 

Playing with the remote controlled car Dad got for Joshua (and the one thing he really wanted and didnt get from Santa)... 

Having fun down at Noosa main beach, just Nath and I with all three kidlets early in the day. 

Mikaela going fishing and swimming with Dad and the girls, they had to catch the ferry (with the car) over to the beach and drove right on the beach. Sweet. 

Having lunch, a simple pasta and pesto with salad with my gal pal, Sharron, her hubs Ben, daughter Taylor and grandson, Riley. Super cute babe. 

Great casual, relaxed, down to earth company and day. 

Have dinner at the Reef... great pub food. Walk down the board walk to Hasting Street for an icecream afterwards. Joshua loves his lemon gelati! Mikaela is having her third as she had two while out with Poppy Col and Auntie Meeges.

Holiday time for sure! 

Ali is running a week long course on the whole digi/hybrid scrappin thang! Go check it out. I particularly like her article on organisation... something I've been working on this past week. And realising that less is definitely more! Embracing my one little word of the year: Simplicity.

Stories...

Inspired (as always) by Ali Edwards and her word of the year, Story. It is funny because one of my sayings is "you don't know their story" I say it often to Mikaela if someone is rude to us in the street, or the like. Got me to thinking about my story & that I had been contemplating how to go about telling my story for some time, that there were pieces missing. That I want to tell them (not in a dreary, god my childhood was awful/traumatic... but a this is where I have been and it's okay). Kinda like a "Bio" documentary you'd watch on someone. I need my children to know these stories in a positive light, my stories, my truth... 

Reading Ali's post got me to thinking I could do this project, and I could do it this year. That it doesn't have to be thought of as some mammoth task. I broke my Story into many "stories" and jotted down some 52 "jump start" ideas, my aim is to do a layout each week during twenty ten. So here is my first page, effectively the "Table of Contents" page to what will be "My Truth" album - stories all about me and my experiences, my passions, my dreams and my heart...

 

Those stories are:

Especially since I am yet to unpack any of my studio supplies in my new space... the dusty garage out the back, not near as inviting as my desk inside with the family. Mostly I am really enjoying sharing my office with Nath, he watches Survivor, I create a few layouts. Perfect!

Happy Birthday Jodes... you are one very beautiful thread in the tapestry of my life story so far. I hope your day is magic and twenty ten is a wonderful year for you *wink*

December Daily's 18 - 25...

You know I had these ready to post the morning we flew out, and the intention to send a "cherio, well be back xxx" .... only I got VERY sick at about 3am and was only barely able to drag myself and kidlets, with hubs carrying all and sundry, onto our flight! Clearly I was in need of a holiday :)

Anyways, thankfully I HAD these finished before we left because lordy knows I would never have done so now!

We've missed some of our family traditions these past few years due to babies... carols at the war memorial, the lighting of the christmas tree... hopefully this year we'll do those special Christmas celebrations.

Now I just need to print them all out and put an album together. I'd like to have it all done and dusted. Until next time.

Home again & welcome twenty ten...

back {and well rested after a hectic year} from our gorgeous pinch-me-please-again-I can-never-ever-take-for-granted-how-exceptionally-perfect-this-place-is & how lucky we are, home away from home.

We were technology free for the entire holiday, I KNOW .... crazy, I actually had withdrawls for, oh a few milliseconds. Ha! Really so glad we didnt have the computer because it is so easy to lose HOURS... and instead I just relaxed with my loved ones! Fully, entirely and 100% with them, felt like a long time since we'd last been that together & connected... just spending up BIG on TIME together! Good times. Great memories!

Now I have been reunited with my 'puter, MUCH babbling, ramblings and some rants to share once we settle in. Real soon. And if I owe you an email... I promise you'll get one pronto (next week). 

While sunning ourselves on the Gold Coast, Noosa and Palm Cove... I conveniently intentionally blocked from my mind that we had only just moved house ... and a DISASTER of a home with boxes galore awaited our return.

Again, up-to-it in unpacking, sorting and organising! I am so very happy to be home. Delighted to catch up with my Kim today - LOVE that woman! She is super awesome! Looking forward to a girlie dinner Saturday night.

Happy Twenty Ten to you all. Here's to a fabulous year. My "word" for 2010 is SIMPLICITY!
