... my word for this coming year is RESULTS. I feel the past few years have been all about planning and making improvements... and this year I want to see the results. Results in many areas, home, personal and family. I created this here vision board a few weeks ago, to celebrate my word, to sit above my computer as constant inspiration for my goals...
Lots of more of the same from the second part of 2010... clean eating and plenty of exercise, family time and couple time. Plus a marathon to be run in 2011... or a half at least. Will see how my shot knees hold up. Certainly something I am aiming for in 2011 and 2012 - a half marathon, then a marathon.
The poem bang centre of the dreamboard reads:
Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. Think only of the best, work only for the best & expect only the best. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticise others. Live in the faith that the whole world is on your side as long as you are true to the best that is in you! Previous Years Words were:
2010 my word was SIMPLICITY... I wanted to make our home and our lives as simple as possible. I tried to bring a “less is more” approach to our family this year and I think for the main part I succeeded. Less really is more. Less = more time together and less time divided by technology, in separate rooms. Less = more time together thinking of ways to create and make things... not just do a “quick and easy” buy. Making play dough, creating paintings... making gifts and cards that take a lot of planning, time and effort {and SOUL} than a store bought item. I have tried to implement a “One IN = One OUT” approach to our home... if we buy an item - a similar one needs to be given away or taken to charity, or thrown out if it is a replacement. Essentially I am trying to clear the clutter. We still have some ways to go, but we are very close to how I want our home to be.
2009 – HARMONISE ... trying to draw together the past few years of growth, creating joy... 2009 was all about harmonising it all.
2008 – JOY... a baby in the house, a delighted big sister and a wedding. Life is good.
2007 – CREATE... this is the year Nath and I were planning to have a baby, unbeknown to us we had already done so as I wrote this post. Joshua was born in September. We were over the moon.
Looking forward to seeing how my word of RESULTS plays out in the following year. Let's see if the results of my training actualise into a decent marathon run? {by decent I mean, do and finish} Will see!
Happy New Year, I hope 2011 is a wonderful year for you.
Hugs
