A couple of fabric/sewing projects are underway at the moment and I had a few hours over the weekend to devote to my latest obsession...
Lots of "pressie projects" which I hope they like 'cause I am not very good at quilting, but I am enjoying it just the same :) Especially since in the last few weeks of pregnancy I am finding it hard to keep still... restless legs syndrome :)
My fabric devotion has also extended to creating fabric flowers and this weekend I got busy creating a few...
Plumtickled has a gorgeous rosette tutorial...
I really like the frayed edge flowers & there is this one too by Maize Hutton. I made these on Saturday night while the Crows got flogged again! Sheez!: Take a look at this Vintage Sewing info page... wowsers :) the 1930s seriously rocked !
Inspired by the beautiful works of Miss Ruby Sue, I decided to give it a go myself and found that Becky of Bella Symphony has this PDF tutorial for vintage flowers for sale on her Etsy. I got myself one over the weekend and created these while watching Notting Hill {an oldie & a goodie} with my love last night:
Of course mine are nothing like Miss Ruby Sue's but I still love them, even if my sore little fingers don't ! :) I want try these ones by PortaBelloPixie real soon too.
Next on my list to do is this
flower collar by "Kate did" ... it is just simply adorable... I need to make mineself one (or some) of those for sure! Mikaela too!
Here are LOTs more links to Fabric flower tutorials for you take a look at:
So why not give yourself the gift of an everlasting flower or two?... most are quick and easy to make, plus they are super cute too! And our daughters... well, they will L.O.V.E them!
Love out...
