On other matters... our little dude got a haircut on Tuesday:

And capturing the everyday... Here is Joshua "saying goodbye" to Daddy after he has come home for lunch, ironically waving "bye-bye" to Me. Often there are tears involved as I drag him out of the car and we walk to the top of the driveway to see Daddy off for just a few more hours until the end of the day:

A digi layout or two...

Here's a little layout I did using a template from Ali's Songbird kit and added some paper from Lynn Grieveson's "Beth" paper pack:

I also did this one yesterday to document a BIG milestone in the life of Mikaela... not sure I am ready for her to be getting phone calls from a boy, but it is happening none-the-less... and it is a huge event for her. Especially since she has had a crush on this boy for a while now {deary me}. The excitement is a little contagious and so very sweet. Her passion and determination, sheez... well I know where she gets it... so I sit and pray and hope she is not hurt. Already it begins! Crazy!

I have also done some paper scrappin' lately with the ReVa May kit...

Art Loving...

So another term of my Mixed Media classes begins tonight!! I just love the inspiration and joy that teaching brings... especially this class. I always get heaps done. These past few days, I've had so much fun creating the class kits:

 

That's about half of the kit. I'll have a few for sale at Reva soon with full instructions and all to create your own art, mixed media pieces and "pretty girls".

I've also been Inspired by my latest purchase of the most delicious watercolour crayons ever!:

 

And created these pieces recently, a total departure from all my other works and one which I really enjoyed:

Talent and Inspiration for a Sunday...

Just quickly... I wanted to say that Mathilda's was great today... Cate Hale and her team did such a great job at setting up and getting word out about today's market.

I met so many wonderfully talented women: Tania McCartney is so lovely! Take a look at her post on her experience of the day. I bought her book to read in Fiji :)

It was so great to meet Louise IRL and to get a super cute little top from her (i'll have to post the piccy later).

My super talentetd friend Jen had her stall right by me so we got to chat pretty much all day, also there were other gorgeous ladies to my right, Paula and Catherine...

I bought the most gorgeous onsie from Jennie of Posie Patchwork.

Heaps of people came to visit me... thanks so much to each of you (you know who you are!)

Lots of lovely clients appreciating my art :) which is always SO nice...

Anyways it was a very lovely day and experience. I came away with lots of inspiration and ideas, met some fabulously talented women... and got a couple of super cute items too. I totally recommend you go to the next one.

We are off to Sydney tomorrow and fly out to Fiji on Tuesday... better start packing :)

I am not sure when I will post again... 15th I have a feature for entreARTistes magazine blog, a Spring Layout... so you'll definitely hear from me then, but hopefully before too.

I have been in SERIOUS...

mode... I made the banner above for my stall this weekend... I quite like it in my studio. Lucky I made three of them and I am sure this one can stay here when it's not out "working"...

Coming Soon...

  

Starting 1st May 2009 Reva kits will be open for business. Each month there will be a full & fabulous kit available. Plus there will also be Art Journal kits, Altered Book kits, Joyfilled Journal kits, Inspiration kits {with PDF project instructions} and at some stage down the track I invisage Mixed Media Art kits {also with full instructions}.

This has been a dream of mine for some time. Something my dear husband has been encouraging me to do for about a year. This little something I have been working on for a few weeks now: ordering stock, boxes, bags, business cards, return address labels, stickers, ribbons, creating the logo and website (and its bits and pieces)... and the list goes on...

It has been so much fun and I can't wait to share what I have come up with, for you, real soon...

I am still in the process of getting the website up and running and will be giving "glimpses" of the products on offer really soon.

Plus I will be running a competion, so maybe you will WIN your very first kit by Reva.
