So I've been thinking lately that I could combine two of my greatest passions... health & fitness + art.
What does that mean? Painting while out for a ride? nope, nothing like that.
More like a weekly art journal challenge, that I hope you'll come and play along with.
Here's how it will work. Each Sunday I'll post a prompt, or question... and you create a page in your art journal, or scrapbook page, or digital scrap page, or blog post... OR, heck... whatever you like really. Then you link to your creation in the comments.
It's gonna be awesome fun!! I hope you'll join in.
I already have the 52 prompts worked out for the year, but I am going to be quite fluid and organic with the project, and post what is relevant at that time.
If you are interested in playing along and getting started... here is the 'title page'... a "protection of the contents in this art journal" page.
You can use a new {blank} art journal, or recycle a regular book by applying gesso before creating your page.
I'm posting this from my ipad while on holidays.. so excuse the crappy photos and lack of links. Once home I'll post some high quality pics, lots of links for inspiration and ideas... and maybe even a little vblog :)
Sweat + Art = dream life

Sounds like a great idea. I am not "arty" but I like being creative. I might duck into the newsagent this week to buy a special little book so I can join in.

Hey Donna...
You are creative, and that's all you need :)
We're all artists. True! True, TRUE!
I would love to have you along for this artistic ride, we'll have lots of fun.
At the end of the year, it's a great keepsake to look back on and see what we thought, felt, contemplated during the year.

I am so excited I found this! I am working on losing the last of the weight I have been on a weight lose journey for the past 2 years. (losing 50 pounds the first year, and then maintaining that for 1 year.) Now I am ready to lose the last of the weight this year. I was interested in doing an art journal. (I have never done one, but I do scrapbook.) I was thinking my art journal would be used to document the last of my journey to a healthier lifestyle, as well as help keep me motivated. I think I will join you :)

Hi Bec
Count me in! I never make enough time for my arty pursuits - this will be a great keepsake.
Just have to decide now whether to use an art journal or do scrapbooking.
Looking forward to getting started.

Hey B!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year woohooooo!!!! Bring on 2012:))))
I am so going to join you with this, I absolutely love art and do not do enough at all!! Like you Leonie, I am a bit of a cross between the two (I have not scrapbooked in like forever!), but I am thinking I have the option to do what tickles my fancy for that subject!
Thanks Bec and I look forward to starting and completing week one!
