Hey there fellow art journallers who sweat :)
I've created quite a few pages to cover this week's prompt: 2012 Goals and Aspirations...
The first page is just a very broad brush approach to my goals for 2012... to gain confidence in myself as an athlete, in my fitness journey, to get lean and strong:
This is also the sister page to this one about my 2012 word being "centred" and that being my main focus for the year.
Then I decided to do another one to further focus on my goals for 2012... still I could not acutally list the races, or events I am aiming for, just another broad kinda approach:
I guess I am trying to remind myself that I need to be passionate about the day to day workouts, whatever they may be... not just be focused on the finish line. That to be fit and healthy, with muscle and focus - each and every day - that's where the strength lies. Not just in the big race days. (BTW, I think this page is super ugly... it looked good at one stage, then I took it too far, tried to fix it and ended up with this mess... but the message remains the same and true, so shrug and move onto the next page of creative goodness - i.e don't sweat the small stuff)!
Of course the start of a new year often comes with much reflection and contemplation, during that time I thought about what I would like my life to look like {be} during 2012. What aspects are important to me?, and this is the page I came up with:
2012 Dream list:
- Daily Meditation
- Yoga
- Cycle with the FIT gals
- Monthly DREAM LIST: massage, pedicure, girlie night out, DATE NIGHT, family date night, at home spa night.
- Lots of lusious natural products for skin and hair.
Chatting with my gal pal recently about our desires for 2012... why is it that every year for the past 5 years we are like "we really MUST get a regular massage" .... and yet, year after year we do NOT follow through?? Seriously self nurturing is essential. Life is short. We've got to make ourselves a priority for self care and nurturing... not just smashing ourselves with workouts. Massages when working out are even more important. I can give up magazines... I need my massages! 2012 I am going to make it happen.
There you go - three pages for the one prompt, and I think you'll agree, this prompt is worthy of more than just one page.
So you know, if you like a prompt and want to create one or a dozen pages with it... go for it, I can't wait to see what you come up with. Remember to link here so we can all see each other's creative goodness.
If you are interested in joining in, you can do so at anytime. And you certainly don't need to "catch up"... but you may be interested in taking a look at the previous week prompts here.
Joy!

I have done my prompt here http://creativecontroller.wordpress.com/2012/01/09/the-goals-for-2012/. I apologise for my lack of "artyness" with these prompts. But something is better than nothing and I love the idea of having this Journal at the end of the year documenting my journey.

I completed the prompt. I did two pages. On one I did my overall goals, and since running is my main focus I did a page to track my miles during the year. http://countrygirloriginals.blogspot.com/2012/01/fitness-journal-week-2-goals.html

I'm a bit late to this, but I have finally put up my post (i'm a newbie blogger!) with my responses to the first two prompts. Thanks Bek for sharing such a great idea! Love reading your blog. Am looking forward to all this year has to offer :-) http://enrichingthewordferal.wordpress.com/2012/01/15/art-fitness-journey-begins/
