I love the ease of being able to use my iphone to capture our lives. As much as I adore my camera, it's not always practical. Especially when running about after two under 3. And Master 14 months is crazy active :)

This was a fabulous idea and Barb's photos in black and white were amazing {to me anyways} she has such a good eye for design. Mine I like, but I don't love, there is much room for improvement in my composition and photography in general.

I am SO loving on him, he is at that most adorable stage - even tho he'll give his "Mumma Smile" away to just about anyone!!! Okay 20 lovely photographers are not just anyone... but today he gave one to the air conditioning repair guy. I mean, come on!!! Dude, he's a guy. Nothing like your Mumma. Save those smiles for ME!
He is a cutie for sure! He just loves everyone. He is infectiously delighted with one and all.

Is here, upon us, now!! I am spending this weekend with Jinky aka Barb of JinkyArt >> amazing family portraiture and children's photographer. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G !!!! Seriously stunning photos this woman takes!
I booked this way back in April and have eagerly been anticipating this weekend since. I am so excited to be doing this course!!
Nath and the boys are coming with me and we are staying here. Mikaela will be staying with her Dad for the weekend so she doesn't miss out on any of her sporting commitments.
I am sure Barb will be teaching us lots of wonderful tips and techniques. I am really excited.
The boys are modeling at some stage over the weekend, so I am sure to get some fabulous pics from lots of students.
I am really looking forward to catching up with Barb again, and Louise the lovely! PLUS all the other wonderful women I am to meet over the 3 day course.

When Ben was just 3 days old Penny came to take some photos... she is still processing them, but sent a few for us to enjoy in the meantime (two of them I already posted yesterday):

This I have been wrestling with for a few months now: whether to upgrade my 30D to a 5D... ???
I have decided for now, that Ella will remain, she will not be upgraded. She is almost 3 years old and I am most happy with her. Plus I love the lenses I have... and an upgrade to the 5D means an upgrade to all lenses too. A lot of money really!
I have this lens that I use pretty much all the time:
Today my hubs is going to get me this one (duty free)...
I am really looking forward to experimenting and having some fun with it during our Fiji holiday {only 8 sleeps to go :)}
Also in my "bag"... well I have one of these, but I mainly just chuck it into this one, which is my everyday bag (mine is orange tho):
I am a big fan of the crumpler... have been for about 12 years or so, pretty sure I got my first one way-back-when (they first began :) That one was a courier cycling bag, which got stolen, but I replaced because I love it SO much!
I am afraid that I am really rough with my camera, I use a lense filter, no cap. When I first got Ella I used the strap, then took it off for a hand strap, which broke. For ages I pretty much had a naked camera. I carry it in my bag with my pretty much everywhere I go.
Finally, not long ago, I got one of these {which I had on my wish list for ages}... sometimes I actually use it, other times it just flaps about cause I am not used to it LOL!
I use this from time to time. Very useful.
Just last week this arrived, which technically is not in my camera bag, but hey... it goes:
It's the CUTEST neckace EVER!! I have been wearing it constantly since I got it, I adore it much!
Mmmm... Is it natural to love my camera as much as I do? *grin* Well in anycase, I think that is enough camera (and related) loving and gushing for now.
EDIT: well I didnt get that lens afterall... because I have this one on order instead.
I know, I'm spoilt LOL!
