Thrifting Thursday: Rose Painting...

I recently won the bid for this darling rose painting:

Isn't it darling?! I can say I honestly felt bad that my winning bid was only $5 ! But that's $5 worth of love I will take! And love I do...

I think it goes very nicely on the wall in our lounge, which is rapidly running out of any "spare" space!

Winter 2012 Love list...

... Clothes, shoes, fashion *LOVE* list that is... because I am deep like that! And asides, now that my (youngest) Master 2 is over the vomit-all-over-me, or pull at my necklaces until they break or I choke phase, my wardrobe is able to take on a bit of personality again. More personality than my staple gym wardrobe or trackies that is!

Recently, I was able to get out and about ALONE. Sans kiddies. Shock horror! And happy dance. 

This freedom enabled me to take a little look see at what is in the clothing stores these days... without having to wrangle a child from playing hide-and-see in amongst some super expensive leather jackets (or something) and getting tut-tut, shake of the head responses from fellow (elderly and not so elderly) shoppers.

So armed with a little visual inspiration, and the joys of on-line shopping, I came up with my following dream {wish, *love*} lists for my Winter 2012 wardrobe:

 

1.    SAFFRON FLOPPY HAT from SportsCraft.

2.    I got a couple of Six in a Row necklaces at the recent HandMade Market. LOVE!

3.    The colour of this jacket is delicious. I had to have it !! Well I layby-ed it. I love         myself a layby or two. Can't take the belco out of the belco chick!

4.    I am thinking Cable Knit is the go this winter!

5.    I'm not keen on the buttons, but the colour and cut of this jacket made me         hand over my dosh immediately! It is made for my pokey butt.

6.    I like the length of this skirt (and it's on sale), teamed with these....

7.    Fantastic biker boots, I've been wearing them constantly since I got them the         other day.

8.    These tights are cosy and warm.

And because I was on a bit of a roll... and in fairness Canberra is quite cold during winter... I could hardly stop at just one wish list, so I made another:

1.    Felt hat. Cute as!

2.    Such a nice jumper.

3.    Love the colour of these jeans, and they are CORD... love!

4.    Multi Coloured scalf. yes!

5.    These have been on my "wish list" for a while now, red leather gloves. YUM!

6.    Love the cowl neck on this cable, cute as.

7.    Nice simple skirt... again, teamed with my must have item this winter:

8.    Biker boot heaven!

9.    Lots of stockings. Fabulous!

So once I sell a kidney I should be able to get all of these items into my walk in - quick smart. Or just layby and be patient... and slowly add them piece by piece, bit by bit.

I love me some new clothes!

Artistic Business Cards, ThankYou notes ....

And more arrived by mail last week:

I'm really happy with results and now eagerly anticipating my next order. It will be so much fun to package and make all pretty with these new cards and packaging.

I am most happy with my Thank You cards... they turned out beautifully.

Most of my business cards, packaging stickers etc, I get from Vista Print... the small narrow portrait cards I got from Moo.

Floral Love...

I bought this most adorable necklace recently... reminds me of the yellow glass ring that Nath bought for me at Easter. Only these are not glass, these are acrylic. 

Ever since I got my pretty yellow rose ring... I'd been daydreaming about how to get hold of some similar. I was dreaming of adding pretty little acrylic flowers to my girlies.

Then I found this seller here in Australia via Made It... I asked if I could buy just the flowers.... and I could, they arrived last week:

 

Unfortunately some of them broke in transit, but they are being replaced. I'll be getting quite a few of the aqua roses... I JUST love them!

Here they are, kinda added to a painting in progress:

 

I'd love to add LOTS of them to all my pieces from now on... they are just so sweet.

I have my eye on this necklace... it's just adorable... maybe I'll get it for spring?

Art for Mothers Day...

Absolutely loving...

Creating some pretty girls again...

Of course there are never enough hours in the day for me to get into my art as much as I would like when I become impassioned about it.... I have to remind myself to let go of expectations, to take a deep breath, walk away from my latest work because I am a full time Mumma first and foremost...

And absolutely loving that too...

Today more than most I am reminded at how very precious life is... and to not take a single moment for granted. RIP MP.

Creative Dreaming...

Here are a few projects I have found lately and am inspired to add to my there is no time frame "to-do" {also known as a WISH} list:

Now this post, and my surfing and interests are all seeming rather girly to me at the moment... makes me think that our wee babe is a girl? ... still who knows?... I may just as likely be having a boy. 

It just seems all rather girly inspired. 

Regardless, I will hardly have any time to do any of this stuff for a while yet... just nice to remind myself when I do get a bit of spare time there is all of this to get into LOL!

Butterfly loving...

I am almost ready to share the nursery completion:

With some help from my SIL, Cassie... I made this butterfly mobile for the baby room on Sunday... I want to add another "rung" or "layer", so I am still working on it.

Mikaela has very rightly requested one for her room too... and I am pleased about that because I think these may be another item I'll add to my market stall. I love butterflies so much, and these are so gorgeous.

Go to CraftStylish for a tutorial to make one for yourself. That one is fabric, mine is using patterned papers.

Handmade Market...

Was a HUGE success today! There were SO MANY people, it was amazing! Here was my stall, right at the entrance {a very good spot}...

I was right beside the lovely Rochelle and her gorgeous creations {which caused quite the stir}... I think she will be SUPER busy replenishing all her stock for weeks to come. Of course I could not resist getting mineself one of her beautiful floral brooches. Last time I was at a market with her I got one of her antique scalfes. I love all her work!

Also sitting near to me was the very gorgeous Tania (I so love her!)... she was only there for a couple of hours as she had a book launch today for Riley and the Sleeping Dragon, I am sure it was a HUGE success too, she is amazing!

And because I am crazy nesting right now... I also got this little darling item from Tango & James for the nursery:

I also got a really cute bird cage wall decal. I imagine I will be finished decorating the nursery ssssoooooooon! Then I will share, promise :) 

I will be at HandMade Market again on 11 & 12th September (their next market date)... and I'll have lots of originals {had so many  requests for those today} and exciting additions to my art line. Save the date and I'll see you there!

Anyways I really should be getting to bed. Nath and I watched Family Man earlier this evening, such a beautiful movie. Sob!
