Lucky Me...

I have an iMac... 

Oh my she is a beauty... I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE !!

You see... BREATHE DEEPLY has been my mantra for over a week now. A week were my computer BROKE, big time. Who knows what I did with it, but it didnt work!

It was extremely frustrating. Those of you who have ever had PC issues (and lets face it, who hasn't!!!??), will know what pain I refer to.

I had NO internet (I used Nath's computer... and tried not to break it :))...

Email, yes, from time-to-time, but then it would freeze and I would have to reboot about 100 times a day!

So I would say my little mantra "breathe deeply"... or "just breathe" out of pure frustration and at times anger. I had considered smashing my mouse... the image passed my mind and pleased me... the actual act never eventuated, because THAT would be silly now wouldn't it !!!

THEN my mantra become one of excitement and anticipation... because Nath and I decided it was time that I got myself one of these - sooner rather than later - as we'd originally planned to get me one in the next fiscal year. I have been wishing and dreaming of an Apple FOR-E-VER.... really :) this is so very exciting for me :)

I've been saving my pennies for a while now, and since I was SO CLOSE my dear hubs agreed now is as good a time as any for me to get my new toy :) We went in on Saturday to collect it ... and after giving my studio a thorough clean, I got it up and running last night.

Ahhhhhhhh... now I am busy busy learning this new platform and loving every single moment. I've kinda got it all sorted, but if you are waiting for an email from me... it may take a day or two :)

Little Ms Apple iMac you are a dream come true. Lucky Me.

I hope you had a beautiful Mother's Day!! Mine began with the very best start of "all in the bed"... I got some new PJs {its a tradition :)}, a yummy Mor candle and a beautiful scalf {deep purple chosen my Miss Mikaela herself!} and pancakes for breakfast... then onto Glebe Park for a huge "party in the park" celebration put on by our local government, then Skyping with the family in Adelaide & my gorgeous Kimbo... simple pleasures and now I get into another frantic week LOL!

Oh the shame of it...

When in FNQ having lots of "artistic discussions" with my gal pal Tanya... one of them about the most MOST DISGUSTING state of my studio, see for yourself...

REVOLTING !!! Tanya said "you've never posted photos of a messy room" so I promised I would... for a few reasons - its real (it really was/is this disgusting, once or twice/often in my life); it is sad, ugly but true; I am pretty sure I am not the only creative soul in the world who just keeps going and going, one project on top of another until we cant find a THING; I knew it would give me the inspiration to get it sorted, quick smart... well that and spending a week in our apartment in Palm Cove which is a dream home (sparce, CLEAN and SIMPLE). I always need to spring clean and purge after being in Palm Cove.

So about 36 hours after arriving home from Palm Cove... this is what my studio now looks like:

 

Now that the place is all clean and tidy I can welcome my new little birdie friend:

I have made a vow to myself to keep it that way!! We'll see says my negative inner critic! (or some may say, realistic critic) LOL...

I'll enjoy the cleanliness while it lasts :) Appropriate too that this magazine arrived this week to keep me inspired.
